Tehran Turns Into a Ghost City As Iran Vows to Launch Next-Gen Missiles After Deadly Exchange with Israel
Tensions between Iran and Israel have reached a boiling point, as both nations continue to exchange deadly strikes in what experts warn could spark a full-blown regional war.
Last week, Israel launched a wide-scale offensive against Iranian military and nuclear targets, citing claims that Tehran is on the brink of developing nuclear weapons. Iran retaliated swiftly, and the back-and-forth has already resulted in devastating casualties on both sides.
📍 Death Toll Rising on Both Fronts
According to Israeli officials, 25 people have been killed in Iran’s missile strikes since June 13. In contrast, Iran reports at least 224 deaths from Israeli air raids — including senior military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.
On Friday, Iran’s most recent barrage struck Israel’s northern region, injuring over 20 people, three of them critically. The Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA) also confirmed that a 51-year-old woman died of a heart attack in a shelter during the strikes.
🏙️ Tehran: A City Silenced by War
In a haunting report from the heart of Tehran, senior journalist Gazi Abdur Rashid, speaking to Kaler Kantho, described the capital as “a city of the dead.”
“Shops are closed, markets are deserted, and even the main roads are nearly empty. Only the subways are still running. Tehran is being evacuated silently.”
According to Rashid, many residents have left the city, especially families with children.
“Iranians are not scared,” he added, “but they are being forced to move for the safety of their families.”
Despite the tension, anti-Israel protests erupted in the near-empty city, showing strong public resistance.
“Even with a deserted city, people came out and voiced their anger against Israel,” Rashid reported.

In a dramatic announcement, Iran stated it is preparing to launch its new generation of advanced ballistic missiles. These weapons, believed to be more precise and powerful, could dramatically alter the landscape of the conflict.
