Tehran, Iran – In a dramatic escalation of regional tensions, the United States has launched a powerful overnight airstrike targeting three major nuclear facilities in Iran — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — using its most advanced weaponry to date.
The high-precision strikes were carried out by six B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, which took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri and flew a marathon 37-hour mission across multiple time zones, refueling mid-air several times. According to The New York Times, the aircraft reached Iranian airspace under the cover of night and unleashed 12 GBU-57 "Massive Ordnance Penetrator" bombs, each weighing a staggering 30,000 pounds.
“This marks the first-ever combat use of the GBU-57 bunker-buster bomb,” said a senior U.S. defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
While the Fordow underground facility bore the brunt of the bombing, two additional B-2 bombers dropped MOPs (Massive Ordnance Penetrators) over Natanz, targeting Iran
